La Nouba Mesmerizes Audiences of All Ages at Walt Disney World
For the past 12 years Cirque Du Soleil’s La Nouba, located in Walt Disney World Resort’s Downtown Disney West Side, has entertained audiences with its kaleidoscopic pageantry and exhilarating acrobatic acts. This truly one of a kind show offers its viewers a chance to step into a new world full of unique characters and musical styles. If you are looking for some of Walt Disney World’s most renowned entertainment, La Nouba is sure to exceed your expectations.
La Nouba opened in Downtown Disney’s West Side in 1998 to high flying reviews. The show is one of several produced by Cirque Du Soleil, a company known for its uniquely designed performances that are created to “invoke the imagination, provoke the senses, and evoke the emotions of audience members around the world.”
The premise for La Nouba is a look at what happens when the world of dreams and reality collide with one another. In the world of La Nouba, the ordinary mixes with the extraordinary to create a new dimension rich with color, vibrant with music, and dazzling with talents never before showcased.
The vast array or unusual characters and spectacular performers include two Charlie Chaplin-like clowns, a lovable and whacky pantomime, a dark and sinister strongman, a breathtaking group of young Asian yo-yoists, and many more. With so many characters and acts to display, there is simply not a dull moment in this spectacular stage show.
The arena itself is designed after the classic big top tents, but inside you will find a clean and comfortable theatre setting containing over 1,500 seats. Tickets are available at 5 different price points and start at $57.00 each and can go up to $124.00 for the front and center tickets. While this price may seem high, let me assure you that this spectacular performance is something worth every penny. It should also be said that there are no bad seats in the house; no matter where you sit, you will be guaranteed a direct view of all the action.
In its past 12 years of performances, La Nouba has dazzled and exceeded all expectations for those who have seen it. Next time you are looking for a little something extra out of your Walt Disney World vacation grab a ticket and leap, skip, and jump to La Nouba. I guarantee you an amazing experience that will make your next trip to Disney even more magical.
